Our General Coordinator at Maren Energy, Aydo\u011fan Oral, announced: \u201cThe factory that Kipa\u015f established in the S\u00f6ke Organized Industrial Zone covers 310,000 square meters, with 200,000 square meters of indoor space. It will end $300 million worth of paper imports and achieve $225 million in exports.\u201d Oral added, \u201cOur facility will produce 600,000 tons of cardboard, mainly from recycled waste paper, for use in the packaging sector. With additional investments, production will reach 730,000 tons of cardboard. We will continue to turn our country's energy into investments and write new success stories.\u201d\n\nOral also emphasized that the factory, which produces its own energy and meets its water needs from wells opened in B\u00fcy\u00fck Menderes and Ba\u011faras\u0131, consists of four main buildings: the paper machine, power plant, raw water treatment facility, and wastewater treatment plant. The factory will manufacture 100% recycled waste paper products, preventing the destruction of 6,000 hectares of forest annually. He also shared that work has begun on establishing a packaging printing facility following this investment.\n\nKipa\u015f Paper Factory Project Manager Abd\u00fcrrahim Karamanl\u0131 addressed local concerns regarding water use: \u201cWe will reuse our treated water repeatedly. Our water tests show that the quality of our treated water is better than that of the Menderes River. Instead of drawing more water from the Menderes, we will send our discharged water back for treatment. The system is designed accordingly. None of our operations are done secretly from the government; we operate with state approval.
