M. HANEFI ÖKSÜZ; ONE OF THE TOP 11 MOST INFLUENTIAL BUSINESSMEN

Our Chairman of the Board, Hanefi Öksüz, rose to 11th place in the ranking of the 50 most influential businesspeople in Anatolia. In a 2018 study conducted by Business Life, a national and international economic magazine, he was selected as one of the top 50 most influential figures shaping Turkey’s business world. Continuing his success, our Chairman Hanefi Öksüz was also featured in the 2019 list of “The 50 Most Influential Businesspeople in Anatolia” by Ekonomist magazine.

This year marks the 7th edition of the research conducted by Ekonomist magazine, which ranks business leaders emerging from Anatolia. The 2019 results of the “Anatolia’s 50 Most Influential Businesspeople” study have been announced. In this research, the magazine examined economic activities, employment, revenues, influence in the business world, as well as social efforts and involvement in non-governmental organizations of businesspeople from cities outside Istanbul, Ankara, and Izmir to determine the top 50.

Two names from the Kipaş family were included in the 2019 list. Our Chairman of the Board, Hanefi Öksüz, who ranked 12th in the 2017 list, moved up to 11th place in the 2019 research. Additionally, another member of the Kipaş family joined the list for the first time. Ahmet Öksüz, our Board Member who was elected Chairman of the Istanbul Textile and Raw Materials Exporters’ Association (İTHİB) at the General Assembly held on April 20, 2018, ranked 19th in his debut. With investments spanning sectors such as textiles, ready-to-wear, cement, energy, paper, agriculture, and education, our group remains one of the key players in the Turkish economy and continues to appear at the top of national and regional business rankings. The success of Hanefi Öksüz and Ahmet Öksüz—both among the top 20 names shaping Turkish business—also resonated strongly in Kahramanmaraş, the hometown of our group, making us once again a source of pride for the city.
